Who We Are and What We Do
Who We Are and What We Do
Our vision of unity means we all study the same topic each week. Our pastor presents the topic in a message during the worship hour, then our Bible study classes take up that same topic in the next hour. From nursery through adult classes, all are studying the same scriptures and theme. This allows parents to know what their children are studying, because it is the same topic the parent has just covered.
It extends not only to our lessons (One Mind) but to our worship as well (One Voice). Our worship team focuses our worship time, not just on familiar classics, but on songs which are relevant to the theme being preached and later taught. Our service ministry (One Heart) takes the theme and offers practical service ideas and opportunities so that the lessons are not just head taught, but heart lived. The result is a church that functions in unity (One Body), living out our faith in community. Check out the various levels of our One Faith ministry:
One Voice is our name for the worship experience at Faith Baptist Church. Our worship team strives to make sure our music and our overall worship time is focused toward God. Using the preaching/teaching theme for the current weekend, music is selected which evokes that theme as worship is sung, prayers are offered, and hearts are lifted up.
One Voice also means we serve together in community. As a missions-minded fellowship, we are often reaching out to our neighbors, whether those near the church campus or others around the world. You can check out our worship experience by watching online, reading our weekend Worship Guide, and you can get an update on our service activities by viewing our One Faith Connections newsletter,
One Faith is a church-wide initiative at Faith Baptist Church designed to simplify the teaching of God’s truths by having ALL classes focus on one theme for a month. Rather than having different ages learning different topics and then hearing different themed sermons on Sundays, the One Faith model takes the message from the pulpit, discusses it in classes of every age, and provides practical applications to instill the teachings into everyday life. Our pastoral staff works with a team of volunteers to implement our One Faith initiative each week. Those teams, each led by a pastor at Faith, cover three areas as shown below. These areas are based on the church’s mission statement: “Love God … Love Others … Serve the World.”
There is one God, who exists eternally in a fellowship of three distinct and equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who are unchangeable in their holiness, justice, wisdom and love. Together, they created, sustain, and judge all things according to their will and for their mutual glory and joy.
The mission of the church is to glorify God by making disciples
through the gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s mission and the mission
of His Church are inseparably linked.
