Weekly Thought:
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
I've heard this verse several times before. However, sitting here reading it now brings a new thought to mind. Why are people less likely to work the vast "harvest" that God has provided? What does it take that scares so many Christians away? A harvest is "a supply of anything gathered at maturity and stored (a crop)." However, what does it take to harvest good crops? One must first plant the seed, nurture it, and water it. However, how can we harvest good crops without any "rain" (water)?
James 1:2-3:
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
